When David and Julie Janssen moved to Springfield in 1978, one of the first things they did was look for ways to get involved. David joined the Jaycees, and Julie became active in the Junior League.

In honor of their parents’ legacy, the Casey family has established the Catherine and Edward Casey Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Community Foundation. Compass for Kids founder and executive director Molly Berendt recently got a phone call she’ll never forget. Local philanthropists Chris and Debbie Smith wanted to establish an endowment through the Community Foundation to support Compass.

Illinois Gives Tax Credit Program – A tax-saving incentive to encourage charitable giving and offers a 25% State of Illinois tax credit to Illinois taxpayers who make a gift to eligible endowment funds at the Community Foundation.
In order to issue a grant from your fund, a donor recommendation form must be submitted.
The Donor Portal provides donors with 24/7 access to their fund.
